Another experiment with extremely long spring reverbs. For this one I suspended 100 meters of 3.5mm galvanised steel in a long hallway. This time I used a piezo element to amplify the sound.

  4. this sounds great! what was the signal chain after the piezo?

    • thanks! There is no signal chain, the audio clip on soundcloud is literally the piezo feeding directly into audacity on my laptop. No pre-amp at all. For the video I connected the piezo to a simple amplifier and speaker setup and recorded the sound straight into the camera mic.

Piezo’s are an amazing piece of technology.
